How come Dale Jr's car looks more like it got wrecked than as an evil Transformer?

I've never understood the whole "Transformer" craze. The cars look more like they're supposed to be a part of the "Wolverine" movie than the "Transformers." I guess it's because those things on the front look like claws to me.

This would have been cool if it was in 2006/2007 when the cars were actually cool, but they're just butt ugly now. Get it out of a movie. Not cool to look at.
